With care and precision, Keith Felton manually "rounds" the spine of the sewn book block.

Using a traditional rounding-and-backing hammer, Wilhelm Albiez "backs" ANTARCTICA's spine creating "shoulders" which will later receive the cover boards. The book block is immobilized in a large backing machine.
